Do daily limits require Focus Mode?

No. Daily limits work independently of the Pomodoro timer. Enable them in Focus → Limits, set minutes per domain, and the extension tracks active tab time.

What happens when I hit a limit?

Navigation to that site is blocked until local midnight. Other sites work normally.
